Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. It led to the state government imposing more stringent guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time working in Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News.
